Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions about hypnosis
Can you get stuck in hypnosis?
Can I still drive after the session?
Are my secrets still safe during a session?
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions needed can differ per therapeutic goal, but also per therapeutic goal per person. It depends on the degree of complexity: how many emotions are involved, how many problems do you want to tackle, is it a physical problem or an emotional one? Generally, people need 2 to 4 sessions. This can be more or less depending on the individual and the problem.
How is it possible that so few sessions are needed?
How does hypnosis feel?
It may sound very strange, but hypnosis feels like nothing. Hypnosis is a state where you go in and out every day. Have you ever been in the car and missed your turn because you were deep in thought? We call this highway hypnosis. Hypnosis can be felt differently at different times. Most people experience it as a deep relaxation. But feeling relaxation is not a condition for being in hypnosis. People can be deep in hypnosis without being aware of it. I will explain more about this during the session.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Can I record the session so that I can still listen to it at home?
I have a problem that is not on the website, can I still make an appointment?
Can I get the treatment reimbursed with my insurance?
Although School of Joy is affiliated with two professional associations, the treatments are in principle not (partly) reimbursed by most insurance policies. For hypnosis, your motivation is very important, part of that motivation is also the degree to which you are willing to invest in yourself.
