HypnoKids & Teens

HypnoKids ® therapy

Hypnosis offers children and teenagers a relaxed and gentle way to deal with emotional challenges. They are naturally incredibly resilient, and hypnosis can plant powerful seeds of self-confidence and self-worth in their subconscious mind. Through self-hypnosis, children learn a method they can continue to use at home.

In my practice, this is not talk therapy — we work through imagination and creativity to uncover what is truly happening on a subconscious level. The child’s motivation is essential: hypnosis is a process of self-exploration and empowerment.

Changes can be immediately visible and almost unbelievable, or more subtle, with the seeds taking time to bloom. My role is that of a guide: I support children who want to solve a problem themselves but need a little help finding the way.

Working method

Playful and Structured Approach

Every session is tailored: both playful and process-oriented. By receiving information from you as a parent beforehand, I can attune to who your child is and what they enjoy. This helps the child feel seen and safe, and together we can work creatively toward change.

Techniques and Approach

For children and teenagers, I use techniques from the HypnoKids® toolbox, specially designed for this age group. These are playful hypnosis methods created specifically for children. Depending on the child and the situation, I choose the approach that fits best. Sometimes, change even happens spontaneously during the collaboration. In this way, each session remains aligned with what the child needs in that moment.

The Role of Parents

Schedule an intake call — without your child — to share information and align expectations.

Below you’ll find two introduction videos: one for younger children and one for teenagers. Show the appropriate video to your child so they can decide for themselves whether they want to participate.

After the session, radiate confidence and reinforce your child by noticing and reflecting back the positive changes you observe.

Parents are a positive anchor before and after the session, helping their child continue practicing and growing at home.

“Achieving change with play, relaxation and imagination”

VR glasses

To explain the subconscious mind to young children, VR is used in some sessions. This helps the children to strengthen their imagination and also helps to increase the enthusiasm for the session.

Applications

Hypnotherapy can support children and teenagers in their development in a playful and engaging way. It can help increase relaxation and self-confidence, strengthen focus and resilience, or break habits such as nail-biting or thumb-sucking. It can also be valuable when a child is learning to cope with challenging situations, such as speaking in front of the class, taking exams, or entering new social environments.

Sometimes, hypnotherapy also helps children process tension and emotions or integrate a past experience in a new and healthier way. The aim is always to equip the child with tools that enable them to influence how they feel and behave.

Hypnotherapy is a complementary approach and not a replacement for medical or psychological care. In cases of physical or psychological complaints, it is important to consult a doctor or psychologist first.
